Whether you have a day or a couple hours there are many volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Listed below are descriptions of some of the annual events the PTA organizes and sponsors along with a description of some of the volunteer opportunities. If you have time, skills, or talents that you would like to share, please contact the volunteer coordinators.
Volunteering in the classroom:
volunteers who are in contact with students (in-classroom or field-trip) are required to have tuberculosis (TB) clearance and complete a Volunteer Application, which you can obtain at the front desk). TB tests are needed every 4 years, and they are not necessary for parents who volunteer at outside classroom events such as Halloween carnival or ACE awards.
TB tests are easily done at a doctor’s office. Some options for TB testing:.
